  • There is a certain individual who shall remain nameless (user:2005emsaguindan) that capitalizes every word they write and doesn’t seem to have a clear understanding of how to use articles (a vs an)... or punctuation. I’m not sure what to do about this user but action does need to be taken as soon as possible.

Probably a ban would be in order since most of their contributions have been one-line articles anyway. I probably spent more time editing their Shorthorn article than it would have taken me to write it myself.

    • If the composition is that bad, feel free to redo the entire article if you wish. His recent contributions show that he seems to have fixed his issue of constant capitalization, so his only issue is with his grammar.

Blocking him is something that wouldn't be exactly appropriate for this situation, as he is editing under good faith, and not doing anything malicious. However, I am in favor of creating a manual of style so newcomers know the do's and don'ts.

That’s (an excerpt of) his most recent contribution. I don’t know if his grammar really has improved much to be honest. I reached out to him about the use of “an” vs “a” about a week ago but he doesn’t seem to have heeded my advice. I worry that the same would be true for a manual of style. With that said, I’d be happy to create such a manual regardless. Just point me to where I would create it and I’ll get to work.

Well, I've created an article called "Manual of Style" a few minutes ago, now it just needs to be filled.
